Machine-verified, at scale
Accessibility issues our scanner has identified across all websites — and counting.
Why it means something
No overlays. No instant badges. A real review.
A machine can flag missing labels and low contrast, but not whether alternative text is meaningful or whether focus order makes sense. A person examines those. We publish exactly what we test, what we can't, and how a standing can be lost.
Published methodology
The full standard, its detection limits, and the pass threshold — all public.
Human review
A person applies the methodology to every assessment — the judgment a machine can't make.
No overlays
We don't sell, install, or accept accessibility overlay widgets as remediation.
The path
How accreditation works
- 01
Assess
Apply with your organization and website. We scan a representative sample of your pages.
- 02
Report
You receive an evidence-backed findings report by email, typically in 2–3 business days.
- 03
Qualify
If the site meets the methodology's threshold it proceeds. If not, the report itemizes what to fix.
- 04
Remediate
Fix findings internally or with any vendor — including our disclosed remediation partner.
- 05
Re-assess
After fixes, we assess the site again in full.
- 06
Verify
A reviewer confirms the threshold is met and issues the standing.
- 07
Accredited
You receive the badge, a public verification page, and a directory listing.
- 08
Renew
Annual reassessment keeps the standing current.
Who it's for
Many organizations face dated federal deadlines
Two federal rules require WCAG 2.1 AA for the websites, apps, and PDFs of the organizations they cover. The dates below are set by those rules.
Healthcare
HHS Section 504 web rule · WCAG 2.1 AA
Hospices, community health centers (FQHCs), nursing homes, behavioral health, and other federally funded providers.
- May 11, 2027
- 15 or more employees
- May 10, 2028
- Fewer than 15 employees
Government & Education
DOJ ADA Title II web rule · WCAG 2.1 AA
State and local governments, public school districts, higher education, libraries, and special districts.
- April 26, 2027
- Population 50,000 or more
- April 26, 2028
- Under 50,000 & special districts
Uplift Accredited is a digital accessibility recognition program. It is not affiliated with CMS, ACHC, CHAP, or The Joint Commission and does not affect Medicare certification or clinical accreditation status. Dates reflect published federal rules; this is general information, not legal advice.
Standards and directory
We publish what we measure
Our methodology, the automated-detection limit, the pass threshold, and every way a standing can be revoked — all public. A recognition program is only as meaningful as what it's willing to say out loud.

Every accredited organization earns a public verification page and a directory listing. Applying is confidential — only earned standings ever appear, so applying tells the world nothing until you've earned it.
